Nancy Weeditz spent most of her younger days in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She moved to Texas in her early twenties and has been a resident ever since of the Bryan/College Station area, where she has raised her three children, Kristin, Keri and Michael.
Most of her adult years have been in the construction business in one way or another. She and her former husband owned a post formed counter top fabrication shop and sold cabinets for several years. She later was an independent cabinet representative for several cabinet companies and sold cabinets to local builders as well as many builders in surrounding areas.
After becoming single, she decided to go back to school and finish her college degree that had been interrupted many year before when she decided to put her college education on hold and marry her high school sweetheart. Having gained a strong interest in Design, she decided to go to Sam Houston State University and enter into their Interior Design Program. In May of 1999 after 8 years of working full time and going to school, she graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Interior Design and a minor in Building Construction.
Shortly after her graduation from Sam Houston State University, Kent Moore Cabinets offered Nancy a position as a Kitchen and Bath Designer in their College Station Showroom. Totally enjoying being one of their Kitchen and Bath Designers and sales person, she worked there for several years.
In 2003, Nancy was asked to join Southwest Homes as their Interior Designer. She has been a proud member of the Southwest Homes Team for 15 years now, doing a job that she loves as well as being extremely rewarding.
Nancy is a proud grandmother of 10 grand-kids and 4 step grand-kids. When she is not working, she enjoys being at her home in the country with her partner in crime Skip and their three dogs, two cats, and Joe the horse. She enjoys being outside and gardening and working around her country place.
Another joy in her life is attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and proudly cheering them on. She is also a proud supporter of Aggie Sports, having season tickets for football, baseball, women’s soccer and men’s and women’s basketball.
In her spare time, she enjoys dinner with her friends followed by a night out at an OPAS production.
