He currently lives in College Station with his wife and four children. He began working in residential construction in 1991 and after working in several of the trades began a home building business in 1998. He married his high school sweetheart, Gina Miller Harvell, in June 1973, one year after graduating from A&M Consolidated H.S. He and Gina have raised three children, Katie, Lance and Amanda and are now proud Grandparents of four Grandchildren with a fifth due to arrive in the Fall of 2018. Jimmy Snell - Southwest Homes Bryan/College Station

Jimmy Snell – Custom Home Consultant

Southwest Homes Custom Home Consultant, Jimmy Snell, got an early start in the construction and remodeling industry while working after school and through his summers with a local builder. However Jimmy was also born and bred to serve his country in the United States military. He was raised in a family who has served in every US military conflict since World War I, so there was little doubt whether or not he would serve as well. Before transitioning to civilian life and working with us at Southwest Homes, SFC Snell kept that family legacy intact, serving 18 years in the United States Army, including tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. In 1999, while still serving in the US Army, Jimmy started his own remodeling and repair business on the side. Once Jimmy left the military in 2015, it was not long before he and Jason Lafollette connected, and by August he was Southwest Homes Superintendent. Read More…

Caleb - LaFolette - SuperintendentCaleb LaFollette – Superintendent

Caleb knew he wanted to be a builder by the time he was just 2-years-old. As the first born son to Jason and Lisa LaFollette, Caleb quickly became Jason’s “builder assistant” by the time he was just a toddler, tagging along on projects while learning the ropes of the industry. Throughout his high school tenure, Caleb quickly moved up the ranks, managing various crews while getting his hands dirty while performing “punch out” work. Caleb attended Blinn College where he simultaneously managed a framing crew. He found his calling as a Construction Superintendent for Southwest Homes in 2015.  When Caleb is not busy building beautiful homes, he enjoys hanging out with his beautiful wife, Abby. The high school sweet heart’s got married on the beach in Destin, Florida in June, 2018. Caleb also enjoys bay fishing on the coast, hunting, and snow-boarding.

Josh LaFollette – Draftsman

As the second born son to Jason and Lisa LaFollette, Josh grew up working right along side his older brother Caleb in the construction field. During his early years of high-school, Josh began to teach himself the basics of CAD software and how to use it for drafting and design in the building industry. Quickly realizing he had a knack for the drafting side of the homebuilding business, he began drawing plans for Southwest Homes.  Josh is currently a Sophomore in college, and although he has grown up in the building industry, he has decided to pursue a degree in Public Health with the intention of one day fulfilling his lifelong dream of becoming a surgeon. Josh has a passion for helping those in need and can not wait to fulfill his calling of becoming a doctor. When Josh is not busy drafting homes or studying pre-med, he enjoys hanging out with family and friends. He also enjoys bay fishing on the coast, playing the piano, and mountain biking.

Michelle Livingston – Interior Designer

Michelle Livingston is a country girl who grew up in Cut-n-Shoot, Texas.  She is a first-generation college graduate who received her degree in communications right here in College Station at Texas A&M in 2010.  WHOOP!  Michelle is married to the love of her life, Justin and they have one son, Ryker.  She has always lived an active lifestyle and enjoys hiking, biking, going to the beach, mudding, and glamping.  Other passions include shopping, decorating and spending time with her family.  Michelle is an avid learner and creator.  Her first job at Michaels was a natural fit as she was able to embrace her love for décor and creating.  Partnering those two things together brings Michelle great joy as she is now able to use those talents to help people build their dream home.  Her passion for decorating partnered with her heart for helping people is the perfect combination for her position here at Southwest Homes as an interior designer.  Her moto in life is “there is always a way to find a positive in any situation; you just have to look for it.”
